Bikes for Kids Assembly Party- Nov. 3, 2018

Andrew ab4k-assemblynd 17 volunteer drivers worked hard to get several hundred bicycle boxes to the EnTrust Records Management warehouse on Monday evening.  Now, it’s time to get those bikes put together!

If you have a couple of hours and some holiday spirit, we would love to have you as volunteer to build and ensure they are ride-worthy on Saturday, November 3, 9 AM to when the last bicycle is counted.  In the past, we have had enough hands to get done by 11:30 AM!  Amazing!

We will also have a lunch of pizza and sodas available for $5 per person.  If you are interested in eating, please bring cash or check.  Please wear layers of warm and comfortable clothing, along with supportive comfortable shoes as we will be standing on concrete floors; bring work gloves and some bicycle tools if you have them.  The link will also ask if you have other things to make the job easier.

To register, please go to:  https://www.viethconsulting.com/members/evr/reg_event.php?orgcode=RABA&evid=17850655

There is enough to do from building to pumping air to quality testing to picking up boxes – please come as we reaffirm our commitment to others in the communities that we ride through each year.

If you have questions about the event, please contact Andrew Mann at rabamann@aol.com.
If you have questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Moore at luvs2cycle@yahoo.com.

See you on November 3!

P.S. We will be donating these bicycles to the Christmas Mothers programs in several counties and cities on December 1.  If you don’t know what the Christmas Mother is, here is a link to Henrico County’s Christmas Mother:  http://henricochristmasmother.org/
