RABA thrives as an organization that uses volunteer ride leaders to create and lead rides for its members and the general public. The breadth and depth of our ride calendar is highly dependent on ride leaders stepping up to conduct these rides, therefore the club is always interested in getting more ride leaders developed.
To that end, Bicycling Safety Chair Eric Martin will give a presentation and lead a group discussion on leading group rides. He will review the basic expectations of leading a ride. He will share the joys and specific techniques on how to handle the challenges that come with this important role to our club. Come explore how you can start leading a pace group or invent a new ride or come to sharpen your skills in how you currently lead rides.
