What: Bikes for Kids Assembly
When: November 2, 2024 at 9 am
Where: Richmond Community Toolbank, 1407 Cummings Dr, Richmond, VA 23220
Fall is flying by – we are in the latter half of October, and Andrew Mann has placed the order for children’s bicycles. That’s 550 bicycles, to be exact.
And they will delivered before Halloween!
So now it’s time to put assemble and double check them for safety.
We need all levels of experience, from zero to expert level to put these bikes together, from the club and the community at large to volunteer. We will pick up lunch and drinks as a small thank you. Can you spare a few hours on a Saturday morning to help?
If you or someone you know can help, please register by close of business Thursday, October 31, so that we can get a headcount for food and drinks for the lunch order -and- finalize plans based on the weather forecast on 11/2. Here’s the link:

Please feel free to share this link with family and friends; teenagers with volunteer service hours requirement are welcome! I will complete any paperwork or provide attestation.
In previous years we have had 80-90 volunteers make a difference in a family being able to provide a special gift for a child at holiday time. I hope you will join us this year to give 550 magical moments to those who would otherwise not have a holiday experience.
Thanks for your support,
Kim Moore
